Relief efforts and public reactions of Thailand plane crash

The deadly plane crash over Phuket Island has devastated families and thrown Thai authorities into full gear trying to minimize the losses.

An eyewitness of the crash, Veera Pithaierairat said, "I remember seeing three passengers coming out of the plane. It was raining heavily. Then, about 15 minutes later, a fire truck arrived. There were not really any flames, but a lot of smoke. A little while later, there was an explosion, but not very loud. And that broke the plane in the middle."
This Irish tourist was one of the survivors who managed to escape the wreckage. He describes the chaos of trying to crawl out of windows as fires and smoke consumed the jet.
John Greard O' Donnell, a plane crash survivor, said, "Our plane was landing, you could tell it was in trouble lucky he is in surgery now."
All the injured are currently being treated at local hospitals. Doctors say a few survivors are in critical condition, mainly because of severe burns.
