中美文化差异Culture of China and USA

We talked about the differences between China and US culture. You said US culture is kind of aggressive culture, and Chinese culture looks like conservative one. I partially agree with you. This time, I'm going to talk about it.

I'd like to start with the origins of these two cultures.

US is regarded as the most outstanding representative of neoteric Western world, especially after the industrial revolution. In this time frame, Westerns found colonization and invasion depending on their advanced productivity which is developed in industrial revolution is the best way to realize their maximum benefit. After World War I and II, US became the strongest nation in the world. It began to develop the aggressive spirit, and it got many  benefits from the aggressive policy. The success leads to a common awareness in US people: the best way to live is aggressively live. So do the parents teach their children.

China is regraded as one of the most ancient civilizations in the world. In its long history, the progress of productivity went forward very slowly, and its resource was planty also. In such environment, aggress caused internecine,and peaceful cooperation brought development. Confucianism and Daoism were propagated widely, these ideoloies blazon forth peaceful cooperation and win-win behavior, canonize the amalgamation but not conflict. Most people in China live in these ways. But now, it's influenced by those so called "high productivity and efficiency civilization" deeper and deeper. People, especially youth, admire and are learning from those civilizations. The whole nation is changing profoundly.

As a summary, US culture represents the history of soaring productivity development based on the great scientific discovery and great geography discovery in recent several hundred years, Chinese culture represents the ancient but developing civilizations.

As of which will be the lead in the future, I think it depends, depends on the productivity increase speed. If the speed remains, US culture will take lead, otherwise China will.
