Why do you need to use English in your job?

为什么工作中需要使用英语？

I’m working in a big global company, and there are staff from all over the world. English is the only language that we can use to communicate.

我在一家大型国际公司工作，职员来自世界各地。英语是我们唯一可以用来交流的语言。

How long have you studied English?

学习英语多久了？

I started learning English when I was in grade 3 in primary school. So that is 14 years now. But I still haven’t mastered it yet.

我从小学三年级开始学英语，到现在十四年了。不过我掌握得还不是很好。

Was it important for you to learn English?

学习英语对你来说重要吗？

Yes, it’s very important for me to learn English. To some extent, to improve my English is to improve my job. Besides, it’s very important for us to learn English since China has opened it’s market to the world and more and more big events are held here now. So, I think it’s our duty to learn English to let other countries know China well.

对，学英语对我很重要。在某种程度上，提高英语水平就等于提高工作效率。另外，因为中国市场向世界开放，越来越多的大型活动在这里举办，学习英语显

What is the most difficult thing about using English at work?

工作中使用英语最困难的是什么？

My English is not very good now and I often find sometimes I’m lacking words to express myself at work.

I have to spend more time to make clear the meaning of some sentences.

目前我的英语还不是很好，在工作中常发现缺少词汇表达自己。我不得不多花时间澄清一些句子的意思。

When you were young, did you think you would have a job speaking English?

年轻时有没有想过自己的工作需要说英语？

No.

What is your favorite thing about working in English’?

用英语工作哪点最吸引你？

I think it’s my luck to work in English, since most of my classmates in College don’t have such a chance.

It makes me feel unique. And that’s my favorite thing, I think.

What would you like to do in the future?
