China, Vietnam to reinforce bilateral ties

Senior CPC official Liu Yunshan has met with Nong Duc Manh, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam's Central Committee. They agreed to step up friendly and cooperative bilateral ties.

At the meeting in Hanoi, Liu conveyed good wishes to Manh from Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

Liu said China attaches great importance to Sino-Vietnamese ties with the aim of promoting friendly cooperative relations.

China and Vietnam have frequent high-level exchanges leading to deepening mutual political trust. Economic and trade cooperation is also developing rapidly, and trade turnover is increasing.
