乡村音乐小歌后Taylor Swift（泰勒-斯威夫特）的新专辑《Speak Now》自10月25日上架后，一周以来销售成绩非常可观，以一百零四万七千张的惊人数字登上“公告牌专辑榜”榜首，并成为继50 Cent 2005年3月发行的《The Massacre》以一百一十四万张的首周销量登顶专辑榜后的最佳成绩。

　　尼尔森数据统计机构自1991年起开始统计专辑销量，十多年来，首周销量能够突破百万张的专辑仅有16张，上一张突破百万大关的专辑是Lil Wayne（李尔-韦恩）2008年的《Tha Carter III》，它在2008年6月上架首周共卖出一百万零六千张，目前尼尔森数据中的冠军仍然是NSYNC（超级男孩）创下的，他们2000年的专辑《No Strings Attached》首周销量曾高达两百四十一万六千张。
 
　　《Speak Now》是Swift的第二张冠军专辑，她的《Fearless》2008年11月的首周销量为五十九万二千张，在公告牌榜首共停留了11周之久。
 
　　《Speak Now》的首周销量不仅是Swift个人的最好成绩，也是乡村音乐专辑1991年以来首周销量的第二名，只有1998年 Garth Brooks（加斯-布鲁克斯）的《Double Live》比它更胜一筹，首周销量为一百零八万五千张。此外，Swift的首周销售成绩还超越1991年以来的任何一位乡村女艺人，此前领先于众乡村女歌手的是跨界歌后Shania Twain （仙妮亚-唐恩）2002年发行的《Up!》，首周销量为八十七万四千张。
 
　　更值得一提的是，自2000年以来，除了Britney Spears（布兰妮）的《Oops! I Did It Again》外，无论哪一个音乐流派的女艺人，都没有Swift这样的首周销量。并且，目前为止，只有四位女艺人的专辑首周能卖到一百万张，除了Britney和Swift，还有 Whitney Houston（惠特尼-休斯顿）的《The Bodyguard》（保镖）原声带（1992年），Norah Jones（诺拉-琼斯）的《Feels Like Home》（2004年）。

There was a lot of speculation and now it’s been confirmed: Taylor Swift’s Speak Now sold more than one million copies in its first week of sale.
 
According to Billboard, Swift’s third album sold 1,047,000 million copies, making it the highest selling album in the U.S. since Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III reached the million mark back in 2008. The milestone also puts her into some impressive company, alongside Britney Spears’ Oops … I Did It Again (1.31 million), Whitney Houston’s Bodyguard soundtrack (1,061,000) and Norah Jones’ Feels Like Home (1,022,000), as one of the four women to reach one million sales in a week.
 
Of course, the this is most impressive compared to the first week sales of her previous album, 2008′s Fearless, which sold 592,000 copies.
 
Looks like Kanye West’s railroading at last year’s MTV VMAs is now officially a moot point.
