I couldn’t move my eyes away from her. It seemed that she had a special attraction.

  She was sitting on her seat. A less-known drink was put on her table. It was a special kind of coffee in my cafe. Coffee, chocolate, chilly and wine were mixed together. Few people liked it for its strong smell.

  She was at medium height, with dark black straight long hair which nearly reached her waist and covered a little part of her face. Thin, almost bony. She had a shapely nose, bright and sharp eyes. Her lips were sensitive, shapely and thin, but pallid. She wore a long-sleeved dress, in purple. She looked a little bit sick and had very little color.

  With holding a flower, she was smoking a cigarette.

  Without any reasons, I was filled with a sudden desire to know about her.

  I approached her carefully.

  “Hello?”

  She lifted up her head and stared at me with her sharp eyes. “Hi.” In a low voice.

  “Only yourself?”

  She put down her cigarette and kept playing her flower. “Yes.”

  “Lavender? My favorite.”

  “So beautiful and good aroma. Right?”

  “May I sit here?”

  She looked at me in surprise. “Well, Yep. I think, I need a person to sit besides me. Or I will feel so bored.”

  “Waiting for someone?

  She stared me again, in frightened. “Why did you know?”

  “Oh. There are a lot of people waiting for someone here.”

  She took a deep breath. And said slowly, “ Yes. I am waiting for, for a man.”

  “I see.”
