银行英语口语会话:Welcome Customers

Dialogue 4  

 

A: Excuse me, sir. Is there anything I can do for you?  

B: Yes. I'd like to change some money, please.  

A: All right. How much would you like to change?  

B: Let me see. I think maybe 600 USD at least.  

A: Pardon?  

B: Six hundred US dollars.  

A: I'm sorry, sir, after 7:00 PM, the change maximum limit is US $400 according to our regulations.  

B: But I am badly in need of the amount. Might I ask you to make an exception for me?  

A: I'm afraid we cannot help you, sir, because that would be violating the Regulation. I owe an apology for doing nothing about it  

B: It's just too bad. I have to leave it as it is, and thank you just the same.  

 

Notes  

 

1. Excuse me.  

Excuse me for interrupting you but there's an urgent telephone call for you  

Please excuse me for a moment.  

 

2. Pardon? Would you mind repeating your question, please?  

Did you follow me? Follow me?  

I'm sorry, but would you please speak more slowly?
